Morgans in Porteynon

Morgan Families in Porteynon, Glamorgan

There were two John Morgan families in Porteynon, one with children born in the 1750′s and one with children born in the 1770′s. I do not think it is the same family. I also think that the John, b. 1756 is too young to be the John who was father to child born in 1771 in the other family.

There is a burial for a Morgan Morgan, son of John, 8 Jul 1749, Porteynon. But that is too early for this family.

He married Sarah Gammon, married 15 Mar 1756 in Porteynon, Glamorgan, Wales, b. 1714 in Porteynon, Glamorgan, Wales.

William was age 70 at time of death.

He married Margaret Hoskins, married 28 Oct 1781 in Porteynon, Glamorgan, Wales, b. c. 1753, d. 1835, buried 26 May 1835 in Oxwich, Glamorgan, Wales.
