He married Mary Stanford, married in Ireland, b. c.1822 in Ireland, d. 24 Jun 1886 in New Haven,CT, buried St.Bernard’s in New Haven,CT, occupation Housewife.
Mary: Mary was probably from Mohill and is somehow related to 3 Stanford men in New Haven at the same time. Her husband was listed as executor of Peter Stanford’s will. He was brother of Thomas and Patrick, also from Cornee,. Mohill, Co. Leitrim. Mary could be older sister or aunt. You can see this family:HERE

going to WV as he joined the Union Army in Lewisburg and settled in New Haven right after the
When the Civil War broke out, Edward joined the Union Army. He was a Corporal in Co. F
of the 1st WV Mounted Volunteers. He enlisted on 19 Aug 1861 for 3 years. He was discharged
